THOMSON TAKES BARRIE WIN
In typical Barrie Speedway fashion, Don Thomson Jr. won the Torbram Electric 300 presented by The Source in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 action on Saturday night in front of a capacity crowd.
Racing in Barrie is the epitome of short track competition, but it suits the veteran Thomson just fine. He led a race high 106 laps on the cozy .333-mile trioval and took his Home Hardware Chevrolet to Victory Lane for the first time this season as he beat Mark Dilley to the line by .180 seconds. It was Thomson's fifth NASCAR Canadian Tire Series career win and his first since last September.

DAVE WHITLOCK WINS AUTODROME ST. EUSTACHE
ST. EUSTACHE, QC. - In his retirement year, Dave Whitlock took control of the Tufoil 250 at Autodrome St. Eustache late in the race and survived a green white checkered finish to earn his first career NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race.
With results like that could Dave be persuaded to postpone his retirement? We can only hope.

Thanks to Beauchamp Jr's spin the race has come down to a green white checkered. #1 Peter Gibbons has dominated the race but he is the only driver up front still on slick tires and quickly looses the lead to #4 Don Thompson Jr, but Thompson takes it super slow and #17 DJ Kennington and #84 JR Fitzpatrick catch up to him for an exciting finish!
